Our set of low tension Checking Springs can be installed by hand in place of your valve springs to simplify measuring piston-to-valve clearance, rocker arm ratio, cam degreeing, etc. Ensuring that the valve is held to its seat but also light enough to not depress hydraulic lifters are critical to the success of processes such as pushrod length measurement, cam degreeing and piston to valve clearance measurement.
